A prayer project and fundraiser for our church city, Errenteria, and neighboring towns

Each year, with the help of donations from praying friends in the USA, we prepare and send Gospel postcards to each home in our church area. Our church is in the city of Errenteria, which is made up of 17,581 homes.

This year, I have expanded the project to include some of the adjacent towns around Errenteria. Several of our church members live in these towns and walk or take the bus to church (for the most part, there are no Gospel-preaching churches in these towns). The goal is to send postcards to each of these towns as well, once our church city has been funded.

Errenteria is divided into 18 neighborhoods, and I’ve prepared information about each neighborhood to encourage those who follow our ministry to “adopt” a neighborhood in prayer leading up to Christmas. Please pray:

• That the Lord would prepare the hearts of the individuals who will come into contact with the Gospel
• That when the cards are received, people would not be distracted and throw them away without thought
• That people would remember that there is a church in their city when they have a moment of spiritual sensitivity.

I’ve prepared a prayer card for each neighborhood, which can be shared or saved as a reminder. If you want to print out multiple cards, for example, for a group of people to each pick one town to pray for, you can use this print-ready PDF file.

I’ve prepared information for 5 towns surrounding Errenteria as well.

• Lezo is a small town adjacent to ours, with 2,574 homes, will cost $370
• Pasaia is a municipality that encompasses our natural harbor (hence our church’s name: Seaport Baptist Church). It includes the 3 towns of San Pedro (3,283 homes), Antxo (2,500 homes), and Donibane (700 homes). All 3 towns will be $930
• Altza is a district belonging to our province’s capital city, Donosti. It has 10,346 homes and will cost $1,470

The map below shows each neighborhood we hope to cover, Errenteria is in red and the towns are in orange, but I will update them to green once the cost for each sector has been donated. If any of you would like to send a gift to help with the project, we would be very grateful! The costs for the various neighborhoods range from $4 to $260, and you can adopt a specific neighborhood, or donate without specifying.
